Hello Honorable Rabbi,
I am a researcher in the field of artificial intelligence, and the possibility that one day a general artificial intelligence might emerge troubles me greatly for many reasons.
My question to the Rabbi is as follows:
1. Why (logically) is such an artificial intelligence possible or not possible?
2. Given that it is possible, what is our significance in a world in which “the speaking spirit” no longer has the monopoly on intelligence and knowledge?
3. What outlook should guide me on this topic, so that I may engage with it from the correct faith-based perspective, upon a sound foundation and not from the wrong place?
Thank you in advance, Honorable Rabbi.
