מדינת ישראל אינה מנוהלת בנושאים הכי חיוניים לקיומנו:
סיימנו מערכה בטחונית כבדה, עם טלטלה עזה בתוך אזרחי המדינה, ועם משמעויות רחבות בתחום האויבים המקיפים אותנו; עברנו שנת קורונה, עם משמעויות רחבות, ואין תהליך שיקום מסודר; אין תקציב למדינה, ותחומים רבים הנוגעים לחיי הגוף והנפש ממש – קורסים; עשרות תקנים של נציגי המדינה בחוץ לארץ, במערכה על מקומנו בעולם – לא מאוישים; חיי היומיום: הפקקים, השרות המשפטי, השרות הרפואי ועוד ועוד –אינם מטופלים; אסון נורא אירע לנו, והוא לא הפך למנוף כדי למנוע את האסון הבא.
והבושה הגדולה: את תשומת הלב העיקרית תופשות ההתקוטטויות, ובעיקר של פוליטיקאים אלו באלו (וגודל החרפה על מקומנו בתחרות השלכות הבוץ, והמיאוס הנורא שהיא יוצרת) ושל אנשי תקשורת אלו באלו, שהמירו את תפקידם כמדווחים ומנתחים להיותם הנושא שבו הם עוסקים.
ככל שירבו אזרחי המדינה שיציגו בפני נציגיהם את התחייבותם לבחור בעתיד רק במי שהתמסר לטיפול במערכת הכוללת של הסוגיות – אפשר שהדברים יחלחלו; ככל שירבו אזרחי המדינה שיסרבו ליפול במלכודת משיכת תשומת הלב למקומות השוליים – אפשר שנמצא את הדרך לצאת מן המבוך הזה.
